At Woodsy Wild, our classes blend hands-on science, nature exploration, creativity, and wonder.
Each session is designed for ages 6–12 and led by Professor Woodsy Wild (Kristell Miller, PhD).

Summer Pop-Up Classes — June 2026
Animal Tracks & creation Clues
Sunday, June 7th • 2:30 – 4pm • carpenter nature center, Hudson, WI.
In this hands-on outdoor class, kids become Nature Detectives as they search for animal tracks, trail signs, and the hidden clues creatures leave behind along the path. We’ll investigate footprints in mud and soil, feeding signs, feathers, nests, and other evidence of wildlife activity while learning how animals move, find food, and survive during the summer season. Along the way, we’ll discover amazing ways God designed creatures with the tools they need to thrive in creation.
$30 per student — limited to 10 students (1.5 hrs)
Finding Your Way: Compass, Magnetism & Earth’s Hidden Design
Sunday, June 13th • 2:30 – 4PM • glover park, hudson, wi.
In this exciting outdoor adventure, kids will learn how to use a compass, understand the invisible force of magnetism, and discover why Earth’s magnetic field is so important for life. We’ll practice real orienteering skills, follow directions on the trail, and explore some of the amazing ways our world is carefully designed for discovery and protection.

Beaver Builders: The Engineers of the Wild
Sunday, June 28th • 2:30 – 4 PM • willow river state park, hudson, Wi.
Step into the world of one of nature’s most fascinating builders. Students will explore real beaver activity sites, search for evidence of recent work, and learn how beavers transform streams into thriving habitats for many other creatures. Along the way, we’ll uncover the incredible tools and instincts that make beavers master engineers.
